Seeker: How to expand our love? Here, we have people from all over the world. We are together as brothers and sisters. How can we expand this love and let the love flow?
Guruji Sri Vast:
See yourself in others. When you look at a person, are you really looking at that person? No, you are looking at yourself. Whatever is visible in this life is you. It’s very important. Whatever is visible is what you are having inside.
I am created by you, how you see me is visible to you. How you understand yourself, through that you understand me. No matter what I speak, you understand only through you. If you don’t understand me, that means you don’t understand yourself either. Do you follow?
Whatever society you live in, it is your world. The world which you want to heal, is the world which you are living in.
It’s very important to see, if I am a communist, I see the world through the communist. If I see myself as a female, I see the world through the female. Whatever I identify myself with, through that, I experience this world.
If I identify myself as an Indian, you are all foreigners for me. Isn’t it? But if I identify myself as a human, you are not foreigners anymore. If I identify myself as a divine, you are not human anymore, you are also divine.
It’s very important, whomever you see, whatever you see, I am seeing this person through me. This is about how I see myself.
We may have different forms, but beyond this form, we are all divine, we are the same, another dimension of yourself.
I don’t know who you are, but I know who is sitting in front me is nothing but Sri Vast. The Sri Vast, in this body, Sri Vast in him (pointing at a person in the audience), how I live in him, how Sri Vast lives in this body and how is Sri Vast living in his body.
When I look at Du, it is not Du who is visible, only I am there. That’s the experience and the realization itself. Whatever you see, you are able to see yourself there.
There is only one prayer we can ask: whatever I see, I want to see myself in that; whatever I see, I want to see that in me.
So, the separation is gone. When you do that, there is no opposition to fight against. Because I fight against, or fight for is also on the cause how I see myself, how I identify myself. Through my identity, I create my opposite, and I fight against my opposite.
For example, you are working in the Apple store, I identify myself as, this is an Apple shop, I am running an Apple shop, so I am that Apple computer. In the opposite shop, they are selling other computers. They become your enemy, isn’t it? Because you identify yourself, this is me.
And after 3 months, you lose the job in the Apple shop. You get hired in another shop. Now you identify yourself with another company, suddenly this shop become your opposite, do you understand this? It’s so simple.
So how I identify myself, through my identity, I project the opposite. Then it’s the fight between the opposite. Fight for or fight against. And this real, beautiful life is lost in the fighting.
Seeker: What to do?
Guruji Sri Vast:
Transform. By transforming you, you are transforming this world.
